Policy Statement on Sustainable Procurement
1. Objectives
Our company, CASCOO Europe GmbH, is committed to promoting sustainable procurement practices in order to improve environmental and social standards within our supply chain. By implementing sustainable procurement guidelines, we aim to ensure that our purchasing decisions have a positive impact on both the environment and society.
2. Supplier Selection
When selecting our suppliers, we give preference to those who use environmentally friendly materials, ensure fair working conditions for their employees and implement sustainable manufacturing practices. We take into account the social and environmental impacts of the products and services we purchase. We engage in dialogue with our suppliers to understand their commitment to sustainability.
3. Environmentally Friendly Materials
We aim to select materials that are environmentally friendly, such as recyclable plastics or materials with minimal environmental impact. We research the materials offered by our suppliers and give preference to sustainable options. Where possible, we aim to use products with key environmental certifications, such as FSC-certified timber.
4. Targets and Performance Measurement
Target 1: By the end of 2025, at least 75 per cent of procurement staff should be informed about sustainable procurement.
Action: Information on sustainable procurement will be communicated to staff through brief verbal explanations during team meetings. Staff will be encouraged to consider sustainable options in their purchasing decisions.
Measuring success: The verbal explanations will be documented, and a record will be kept of which staff members attended the meetings. Simple feedback will be collected to determine how many staff members understood the information. Progress towards the 75 per cent target will be reviewed by the end of 2025.
Target 2: By the end of 2026, we aim for at least 15 per cent of the materials we procure to come from recycled or sustainable sources.
Action: When selecting new materials, care is taken to ensure that at least 15 per cent of the products procured come from recycled or sustainable sources. Information on the origin of materials is obtained through discussions with suppliers to ensure that sustainability criteria are met.
5. Summary
By integrating sustainable procurement practices into our corporate strategy, we are actively contributing to improving environmental and social responsibility within our supply chain. We are convinced that every decision we make can have a positive impact on society and the environment.
